This Organizational Standards Center of Excellence Peer-to-Peer webinar focuses on how Community Action Agencies can utilize community leadership academies to directly engage the low-income community and empower customers to address the roots of poverty in their neighborhood. Two agencies share their experiences developing and facilitating leadership academies, and the results they have seen at the individual, agency, and community level. These examples highlight strategies to build capacity among low-income individuals and increase community involvement in agency activities as ways to meet and exceed Organizational Standard Category 1 & 2.
